Emergency Essentials

To those that are interested in food storage or being better prepared for emergencies, you might want to check out the link up above.  For the past year and a half, I've been putting in a Group Order. Every month Emergency Essentials offers a few "group specials" on items that are greatly reduced in price if you meet a certain number ordered (usually between 4 and 12, depending on the item).  Several of us group together, I collect all the money, and then I order it.  The group order includes free shipping on the entire order - even if you add more to the order than just the group special.  If you click through, there is a button near the top and center that says group specials.  For December, the group specials include a #10 can of freeze-dried raspberries for $18 that would normally cost $25.99. There is also a mini multi-tool (shovel, saw, hatchet, hammer, pulls nail, and open bottles) for $10 that is usually $15.95.

Here is a link for Freeze-Dried Foods in #10 Cans, and last year I bought these emergency 100 hour candles to give as little gifts to the neighbors for Christmas. The candles came with the bags and bows so it made it an easy gift.  When the power went out this summer, a few told me that they remembered that I had given it to them, and they pulled it out and used it.  I was glad that I had been able to give something useful :-).
