A few new pictures of Elzie to share

To say that Mimi is fond of her new little sister is an understatement. If only I could be paid every time she asked to hold Elzie or smothered her with kisses.

I just love when they are so little and curl up on your chest to sleep. This time goes by way too quickly. Grandma G and Elzie meeting for the first time!
We finally figured out how to stop the flash so she would have her eyes open for the picture.

The first week and half of Elza's little life have been pretty calm. We are still continuing with homeschool and chores as usual. I didn't want to let the children get out of their good habits! Kent went back to work on Monday and my mom is still here helping out, but I know that next week I'm on my own again and things are just better left rolling along as usual!

One surprising thing is that I didn't anticipate was people misunderstanding Elza's name. Several have thought it was Eliza, I guess. We chose Elza after my Grandma, Elsa. However, my other girls have Hungarian names and so we used the Hungarian spelling, hence Elza. Her middle name is Constance, after our dear friend who was our midwife for Joshua, Miriam, and William.

Congratulations on a successful home birth! She is beautiful and looks very content. Way to show that birth doesn't need to be scary, but that it can be a beautiful event.

My hubby found this blog for me, and I'm so happy he did- I needed a feel-good homeschool pick-me-up today! (You just had a baby and you aren't taking a homeschool break? My hero ;)
