The prices will be good until Dec. 31st. So if you're still thinking of taking the class, JUST DO IT! You can look at my last post for more info.
Just my two cents...
Even if you aren't that interested in natural remedies, worse case scenario...if you didn't have access to modern meds and you had taken the class, at least you would know what to do herbally to treat yourself and your family.

Family Herbalist Class
I don't know if anyone is interested, but I thought I'd let ya'll know. The school that I've been attending is going to be raising it's prices in the next day or so. It was actually supposed to take effect today, but they said they have received so many questions in emails they are postponing the price raise for a few more days.
The Family Herbalist course is only $100 and it will go to $295 after the price raise. I can not say enough good things about this course. If you have any desire to learn how to treat your family without harmful drugs, this is the class that will give you the knowledge and confidence you need. The class is all online and you will have 3 months to complete it. If you are interested, click on the link on the right side of the page that says The School of Natural Healing.

Opening Night!
Here are some pictures that I took last night during the dress rehearsal. Abby (and everyone else involved) did a fantastic job tonight!
Our adopted Grandma, Nana Carole, put together a beautiful bouquet to give to Abby at the end of the performance. I gave the bouquet to Mimi and told her to run it up to Abby as they finished the bow. Instead of handing it up, Mimi ran the length of the stage looking for stairs to get up! Everyone thought it was so funny, because all you could see was this big bouquet of roses bobbing along, as Mimi was hidden behind them!Dimitri and Katya with the Snow Child
Dancing for the New Year's Festival
A real girl! I know you can't see her face, but it's the best picture I have of her with the real girl costume on. You'll just have to see the show to get a better look!

Some needed updates
Abby's Big Solo
Today was the Piano and Pipes concert. It is held at the First Lutheran church in town and is an amazing musical occasion celebrating the birth of Christ. Several choirs and musical groups perform and it's very moving. Abby performed with our ward choir last year and chose to again this year. She was asked by the director (Angela Pratt) to sing a solo this year. I was so proud of my little Abby! She did wonderfully. She doesn't get nervous at all, I think I do it all for her! As I held the camera to record the performance I was totally shaking and had butterflies through the whole thing! Luckily I got it on tape so I can enjoy it the next time around =)
Kent and Abby The Performers
Kent and Abby both went out for parts in the big community musical that will happen in March. They will be doing Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Kent got a part as one of the "older" brothers (the directors joked that for AGE, Kent had just written OLD) and Abby got a part with the children's choir that will be on stage for a large part of the show.
Abby is also excited to have opening night for the Snow Child this Friday. She's been working hard on her lines and is really excited to have the first dress rehearsal on Tues. Her costume and performance are sure to be amazing!
Festival of Trees
We missed the community fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Club last year and had wanted to go this year, but never got tickets. The hospital ( Kent's employer) graciously gave us tickets so we decided to have a fun night out. The trees were beautiful and we found that some went for $1700 and $2200 last year. We saw lots of friends there and we visited with Rome Walter (a family doc and member of the ward). He told us that last year, he liked to bid up the trees, but would quit before he was in danger of actually winning. We weren't sitting at the same table, so when he bid on a tree I thought I'd have a little fun with him and I bid next (I was behind him so he couldn't see it was me). Well, GOSH DANG IT! He didn't bid again! AND NO ONE ELSE DID EITHER! ACCCCKKKK!
I'm now the proud owner of a gorgeous tree for the bargain price of 400 bucks! They should be delivering it in about 30 minutes so I'll try to get some pics. It was the best tree to win I think anyway. Two friends of ours were the ones to decorate and donate it. It also had three big gift baskets with it that we had fun unwrapping last night. So I guess this is my most expensive Christmas present ever! Thanks so much to my sweet husband who just laughed at my goofiness without telling me that I'm an IDIOT!
